After a protracted vacation to France that included attending events during Paris Fashion Week, Natalie Portman returned to the United States. After landing at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on Friday, the Oscar-winning actress was seen passing through the turnstiles with at least one female companion.

After receiving threats of violence, the production of Portman’s upcoming Apple TV+ miniseries Lady In The Lake was momentarily halted over the summer. Production on the show had been going strong since it began in April. Natalie Portman, 41, was the epitome of carefree comfort when she returned to the United States and touched down in New York on Friday following a trip to Paris, France.

Dark blue trousers and a black sweater over a white tee were Portman’s go-to informal and comfortable outfit choices for the transatlantic flight. She donned a light brown jacket to protect herself from the rain, which seemed to be the right fit. The Black Swan actress completed her ensemble with pointed black leather boots and long brown hair put back into a bun with a middle part. The mother of two decided to err on the side of caution and covered her mouth and nose with a protective face mask, which is optional at this stage of the COVID-19 epidemic.

She looked like she was traveling with at least one female companion, who also chose to don a face mask. The Oscar-winning actress sported casual-chic attire for the flight, including dark blue trousers, a black hoodie over a white tee, a light brown jacket, and pointed leather boots. Throughout Paris Fashion Week, Portman was spotted doing the rounds, which included attending the Dior Womenswear Spring/Summer 2023 Fashion Show a few weeks ago.

It is currently unknown if Portman will return to the Baltimore, Maryland, set of Lady In The Lake, which is now in production. Due to that threat, which has since been ascribed to neighborhood drug dealers who threatened to shoot up the set unless they were paid $50,000, production was halted in late August. The Baltimore Police Department told the Los Angeles Times that “the producers opted to err on the side of safety and reschedule the shot when they identified another location.”

Filming on the miniseries, for which Portman serves as executive producer in addition to playing a journalist looking into a murder, is anticipated to continue into the fall, according to Variety. There has been no news on whether Portman was returning to the Baltimore set of Lady In The Lake, which had its filming momentarily halted owing to a threat of violence linked to neighborhood drug dealers.

Moses Ingram, Y’lan Noel, Mikey Madison, Byron Bowers, Mike Epps, Noah Jupe, Josiah Cross, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Onnie Gene Blevins are also featured in the cast. Portman traveled to Canada recently as well for the Toronto International Film Festival, where she promoted Carmen, the movie starring her husband Benjamin Millepied. The prestigious festival hosted the global premiere of the musical drama, which serves as Millepied’s directing debut.

In the fall of 2009, the pair actually got acquainted while filming Black Swan. The ballet-trained Millepied was chosen to direct the movie, and Portman, who co-starred with Mila Kunis, later won the Best Actress Oscar.
